The City of Blacktown Basketball Association (CBBA) is excited to announce our transition from GameDay to Basketball Connect, set to be fully implemented by the 2024/25 Summer League competition this October. This change marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing the best possible experience for our players, clubs, coaches, and supporters.
Why Basketball Connect?
Basketball Connect offers a suite of innovative features designed to streamline operations and enhance user experience. Here's a look at some of the key benefits this new platform brings:
1. Live Scores and Real-Time Updates Basketball Connect provides real-time updates on scores, making it easier than ever for players, coaches, and fans to stay informed. No more waiting until after the game to find out how your team performed—everything you need to know will be right at your fingertips, as it happens.
2. User-Friendly App The Basketball Connect app is designed with users in mind. Its intuitive interface ensures that everyone, from tech-savvy teenagers to tech-challenged grandparents, can easily navigate the platform. Whether you're checking game schedules, updating team rosters, or simply browsing through the latest basketball news, the app makes it all simple and straightforward.
3. Expanded Payment Options Flexibility in payment options is another significant advantage of Basketball Connect. The platform supports a variety of payment methods, catering to the diverse needs of our community. This means you can easily handle registrations, merchandise purchases, and more, without any hassle.
4. Enhanced Communication Tools Effective communication is crucial for any sports association, and Basketball Connect excels in this area. The platform includes robust tools for messaging and notifications, ensuring that everyone stays in the loop about important updates, schedule changes, and upcoming events.
5. Comprehensive Integration Basketball Connect seamlessly integrates with other popular sports management tools and platforms, offering a comprehensive solution for all our administrative needs. This integration ensures that data flows smoothly across systems, reducing redundancy and minimising errors.
How does it work if you are already a member through GameDay?
If you have a current registration and account through GameDay, when you first use Basketball Connect you will need to click NEW PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION. As you begin filling out your personal information for the first time, Basketball connect will match your information with the GameDay database and automatically pick up that you have an account.
You need to ensure you are using similar details to what was used in GameDay such as First Name, Last Name, Email, Address and Phone number. Basketball Connect will ask you to claim your existing account.
If you have trouble… don’t worry, our friendly team will help you through the process and we will also upload a step by step guide on how to register players/teams.

As we prepare for the full rollout by October, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all our members. Our team is available to assist with any questions or concerns you may have during this period. Training sessions and support resources will be provided to help everyone get up to speed with the new system.
