Blacktown Storm goes to the Coast

Two weekends of competition up the coast wraps up the first major event for your Blacktown Storm juniors in 2025. The annual Central Coast Classic has been a long-running summer tournament hosted by Central Coast Basketball. This year, Blacktown Storm nominated nine teams for the competition. The event is always a great opportunity for our new teams to get a run-in and build chemistry before the Waratah Junior League calendar begins.

The Division Two and Three Tournament was held over the first weekend on the 1st and 2nd of February. We had six teams, including U12 Boys Gold, U14 Boys Gold, U14 Boys Purple (DPs), U16 Girls Purple, U16 Girls Gold and U16 Boys Gold. The following weekend was the Division One tournament, where we had three teams compete, including U14 Boys Purple, U14 Girls Purple and U18 Boys (bottom-age/DPs).

After close battles, lots of learning and heaps of sweat from the summer heat, we were victorious in two competitions. Congratulations to your Blacktown Storm teams, U16 Girls Purple and U14 Boys Purple for winning the tournament in their respective divisions.

A massive thank you to our managers and coaches for organising their teams and giving our athletes an experience to remember as part of their 2025 representative season.

Check out some of the moments captured over the two weekends from our lovely parents. More photos from the tournament can be found here.
